Jacopa wins Thames Water contract for SAF

Wastewater treatment systems and solutions experts Jacopa have won a key Thames Water framework contract to provide their robust, high-performance modular SAF systems throughout AMP 6 (2015-2020).

Jacopa SAF The contract, which was secured following a highly competitive tender process, will involve liaising closely with Thames Water and its partners to supply the well-regarded Copa® SAF, which has a proven performance record supported by 20 years of development.

The Copa® SAF has been widely installed throughout the UK wastewater industry, due to flexibility, ease of use, and ability to produce an excellent quality effluent on start-up.

The fixed-film biological treatment system can be used for a wide range of applications including roughing, BOD and ammonia removal, and is robust enough to handle fluctuating flows and loads.

Jacopa Managing Director Alex Lloyd said:

“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract, which reflects the strong collaborative partnership that we have with Thames Water, and the unparalleled reputation of our solutions and services throughout the wastewater industry.”

“The industry is facing unremitting pressure to perform better, both for its customers and the environment, which means providing excellent value for money while also ensuring the best possible quality of treatment. Jacopa’s Copa® SAF provides a sustainable, flexible solution that fully meets these needs.”
