Latest figures from Anglian Water show groundwater levels in some parts of the East of England are the lowest they’ve been in almost 30 years.
English rainfall totals above average for 4th consecutive month
The latest official statistics on the water situation report for England show that in February rainfall totals were above average for the fourth consecutive month at 130% of the long term average.
Drought over for Yorkshire, Midlands and the South West
The wettest April on record and continuing rainfall in May have led the Environment Agency to remove the drought status for certain areas.
