Registration opens for keynote water and wastewater monitoring conference and exhibition

Registration is now open for one of the UK water sector’s leading conferences and exhibition events looking at current water and wastewater monitoring challenges and solutions which will take place live on 12th and 13th October.

The 10th in the leading series Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring Conference and Exhibition - WWEM 2022 - will focus on instruments and services for water and wastewater process monitoring, laboratory analysis, field and portable testing.

The two day event, which is free to attend, will focus on the following themes:

Delegates registering for the free to attend conference and exhibition will hear from regulators and industry experts in a packed 2 day programme featuring more than 100 hours’ worth of content across conference presentations and workshops.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to discuss their technology and project needs and hear about solutions and services on offer from over 150 companies exhibiting alongside the conference.

Key speakers at the conference include:

  • Chair of the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee Phillip Dunne MP will deliver the keynote speech of the conference on monitoring rivers
  • Helen Wakeham Deputy Director of Water Quality, Groundwater and Contaminated Land at the Environment Agency will present on monitoring storm overflows – the successes to date and the challenges of things to come
  • Alastair Chisolm Director of Policy at CIWEM will present a study on storm overflows
  • Nick Mills Head of Pollution and Flooding and the Storm Overflow Task Force at Southern Water will discuss real time bathing water quality monitoring and public data presentation
  • The Rivers Trust will make a detailed presentation on the Citizen Science Takeover

Environmental monitoring, compliance and performance set to be one of the key issues dominating Price Review in 2024

Marcus Pattison, Managing Director at ILM, who is responsible for organising WWEM, is expecting a record number of attendees at all levels across the sector, including water monitoring, instrument and control users, process managers, laboratory scientists, environmental managers and regulators.
