The European Commission’s UrbanWater project, in which Scottish Water is a partner, has launched a survey aimed at gathering data from a range of stakeholders as part of its work to develop and demonstrate an innovative ICT- based platform for efficient and integrated management of urban water resources.

Costain is among a group of organisations that includes De Montfort University, Bluefrog Design, M Wright and Sons, Virtalis and Loxcius that has secured co-funding from the government-backed Technology Strategy Board for a project aimed at improving the company’s operational performance and service delivery at Severn Trent Water.

 

A significant development in new technology could more than halve current production costs for clean water, according to Finnish researchers.

The Government does not have a coherent strategy to support the commercialisation of technological innovation in the UK, MPs have warned.
