Following the success of the 2017 event, which brought together over 80 water industry experts, the hAQUAthon will return in November 2018.
The event, which merges data science, innovation and collaboration to drive innovation is free to attend and will take place in Birmingham at The Compound on 27th and 28th November.
Participants will work in small groups to brainstorm innovative ideas, solutions and new product concept demonstrators to solve challenges in the water industry.
The event is produced by decisionLab and Artesia Consulting in conjunction with Twenty65, a consortium, which includes the Universities of Sheffield, Exeter, Imperial College, Manchester, Newcastle, and Reading, all working in the sphere of data science application within water and beyond.
The event will provide the opportunity to build new networks, identify real-world solutions to big challenges and accelerate innovation in the water community. The event aims to go beyond theory and “ideation” and yield actionable solutions.
A delegate from water industry regulator Ofwat who attended the previous hAQUAthon described it as “certainly the most innovative event I have seen so far within the water industry, which really sought to break down barriers for how water companies might collaborate.”
