Flooding and Flood Defence

The deadline is approaching for stakeholders to comment on the Environment Agency’s Wash East Coastal Management Strategy consultation.

The European Commission has announced an aid package worth nearly €47 million for Italy, Greece, Slovenia and Croatia after a series of natural disasters struck the regions in late 2013 and early 2014.

Dredging on the Somerset Levels is moving into the final phase - the Environment Agency has dredged 8 kilometres of river banks on the Parrett and Tone and is now passing halfway in the dredging operation.
