The Environment Agency is warning of the risk of further flooding over the next few days following heavy rain across England and Wales.
Storm Alex, a weather system named by Météo-France earlier this week, brought wet and windy weather to southern parts of the UK on Friday, followed by a very wet weekend for many.

The Environment Agency separately warned that local flooding was possible from rivers across Wales and much of England yesterday, resulting in flooded properties and travel disruption.
The Agency said that ongoing local flooding impacts from rivers is also probable today across parts of central and southern England. Local flooding is also possible for parts of the River Avon in central England during Tuesday, the EA added.
On Sunday the Agency was also warning that tidal flooding impacts were probable near Ynyslas in Ceredigion due to a breach in the Afon Leri watercourse embankment allowing nearby land to flood when water levels increase during times of high tide.
