Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply and installation of solar photovoltaic equipment worth up to £9 million.

A joint bidding pilot in Wales aimed at encouraging Welsh businesses and organisations to work collaboratively to bid for public sector contracts, has resulted in contracts being won by consortia in nearly two thirds of those awarded so far – contracts which would not have been secured independently.

Infrastructure growth to rise 13.2% in 2015

The Construction Products Association is predicting further growth for the construction industry, including a 13.6% rise in infrastructure in 2015.

PriceWaterhouseCoopers has won a £6 million contract for the management and implementation of initiatives under Welsh Water’s Retail Transformation Programme.

 

United Utilities has awarded an AMP6 network and telephony security operations framework contract worth around £9 million.

Northumbrian Water has gone out to tender with a major AMP6/7 repair and maintenance services contract worth up to £80 million.

Ipswich flood scheme thbThe Environment Agency has appointed VBA, the joint venture between VolkerStevin, Boskalis Westminster and Atkins, to work on a £21 million flood defence scheme for Ipswich.

Costain, international law firm Pinsent Masons and the University of Cambridge have secured funding from Innovate UK to see how innovation can be harnessed more effectively and for longer.

NI Water has gone out to tender with a contract for small scale solar installations worth up to £1.5 million.

Kafubu Water and Sewerage Company (KWSC) has awarded a $101.6 million contract to Veolia to rehabilitate and expand its water and wastewater infrastructures in the Copperbelt in northern Zambia.
