Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has awarded an AMP6 contract for standpipe managed services.
The contract covers provision of a total solution of standpipe hire, administration, delivery, training, billing, proper use monitoring, network, policing, marketing and management of the standpipe hire process.
The work includes comprehensive customer contact, database and billing management services, together with customer training on the use of standpipes, and the management of all processes to issue, monitor and record their use. It also covers proactive enforcement of the correct use of standpipes including response to reactive incidents and monitoring of persistent 3rd party hydrant abuse issues.
The contract is for an initial 3 year period with options to extend for a further 7 years.
Manchester firm Aquam Water Services Ltd has won the work – the only company who bid for the contract.
