"Transformational year" for Atkins

Design and engineering consultancy group WS Atkins plc has announced its preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2011.


Balfour Beatty, the international infrastructure group, has today announced that its US Construction Services division has acquired Fru-Con Construction LLC, a leading water and wastewater infrastructure contractor, for a net cash consideration of US$20 million (£12 million).

The areas of Scotland most at risk of flooding are to be identified for the first time, as part of a consultation launched this week.
