Belfast-based firm Farrans Construction Ltd has been awarded a contract for the Connswater Community Greenway/ East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 2 worth around £20 million.
The project is for the delivery of Phase 2 of the Connswater Community Greenway/ East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme with an approximate value of £20m to £26m.
The works for the Connswater Community Greenway and East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme will include new flood walls, new flood earth embankments and river realignment works.
The majority of the works for the Flood Alleviation and the Connswater Community Greenway River Works have been designed by the Council .
However, there will be specific elements of the Flood Alleviation scheme works and other elements which will be contractor designed such as piling and associated integral elements of the works.
