Belfast City Council has gone out to tender with a £22 million-plus flood defence scheme for its East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 2.
The project is for the delivery of Phase 2 of the Connswater Community Greenway/ East Belfast Flood Alleviation Scheme worth between £22m to £26m. The flood alleviation works consists of new flood walls, new flood earth embankments and river realignment works.
The majority of the works have been designed by the Council and details will be contained within the Works Information provided at tender stage. There will be specific elements of the flood alleviation scheme works and other elements which will be contractor designed such as piling and associated integral elements of the works.
Part of the procurement process includes the identification, investigation and exclusion of abnormally low tenders.
Deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 29th November.
