WSP, one of the world’s leading professional services firms, has been appointed to all three Lots on the Environment Agency’s National Groundwater Modelling Framework.

WSP has qualified for the following three Lots:

  • Regional modelling
  • Groundwater flooding
  • Expert review

The framework brings together leading consultants across England and gives the Environment Agency improved access to suppliers for specialist groundwater modelling work, and better visibility for suppliers of the Environment Agency’s pipeline of future planned work.

It will also support the development of groundwater models, alongside wider studies to strengthen flood understanding and forecasting.

With one of the largest teams of hydrogeologists and groundwater modellers in the UK, WSP brings deep technical expertise and practical insight to the framework. The appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to support the Environment Agency collaboratively in raising standards and delivering better outcomes for communities.

Frank Hulcoop, Delivery Director at WSP, said:

“Qualifying for all three lots on the Environment Agency’s National Groundwater Modelling Framework reflects the breadth of our hydrogeology and groundwater modelling expertise. We look forward to working collaboratively with the Environment Agency to strengthen groundwater models, improve flood understanding and help deliver better outcomes for communities.”
