Yorkshire Water has awarded an AMP8 contract for the supply of Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) with an estimated value of £ £21.858 million (inc VAT).
The water company was looking to put a framework in place with partners who had a proven track record of providing Monosodium Phosphate (MSP).
The MSP will be used in YWS clean water treatment sites.
The requirement was for the following services:
- 32% strength MSP product provision
- 51% strength MSP product provision
- Delivery of MSP product
The contract was tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1. North - 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the North lot
- Lot 2. South - 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the South lot
- Lot 3. East - 32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the East lot
Airedale Chemical Company Ltd and Plater Chemicals Ltd have both been awarded contracts under all three Lots.
Estimated start and end contract dates are 12 November 2025 to 11 November 2030 with
a further possible extension option to 11 November 2033.
