Yorkshire Water has awardedan AMP8 contract for the supply of Monosodium Phosphate (MSP) with an estimated total value of £21.858 million (inc VAT).

The water company has put a framework contract in place with partners who have a proven track record of providing Monosodium Phosphate (MSP).
The MSP will be used in YWS clean water treatment sites - the requirement covers the following services:
- 32% strength MSP product provision
- 51% strength MSP product provision
The contract was tendered in the following Lots:
Lot 1. North
32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the North lot
Lot 2. South
32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and delivery of MSP product for the South lot
Lot 3. East
32% strength MSP product provision, 51% strength MSP product provision, and deliveryof MSP product for the East lot
The following suppliers have both been awarded contracts on the framework covering all three Lots:
- Airedale Chemical Company Ltd
- Plater Chemicals Ltd
The standstill period ends on 5 November 2025 – current estimated start and end contract dates are 12 November 2025 to 11 November 2030 with a further possible three year extension option up to 11 November 2033.
