Nottingham City Council has gone out to tender with a contract to put an open framework scheme in place for the provision of pipework inspection, renewal and repair of water services with an estimated value of c £1 million (inc VAT).

The successful contractor will be required to carry out repairs (and/or replacements) to pipework and services association with the supply of water to and within Council owned stock / HRA land. This includes stop taps, point of entries and underground pipework.
Some of the work will be in response to section 75 notices received by the local water authority Severn Trent Water which will need to be investigated and rectified within the prescribed timescales.
The Council will also require the contractor to liaise with Severn Trent Water or other local water authority to confirm findings or remedial work undertaken in relation to the Section 75 notices.
If the fault is found to be a non-Council managed property or non HRA land i.e. a private owner occupier then the contractor willbe expected to inform Nottingham City Council, the tenant, the owner occupier as well as the local water authority.
Current estimated start and end contract dates are 17 November 2025 to 16 November 2029.
The Council is looking to appoint up to three suppliers to the framework.
