NI Water tenders £19.5 million contract for collection and transportation of water and wastewater samples

Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the collection and transportation of water and wastewater samples worth an estimated £19.5 million (inc VAT).

Scope of the contract covers the following services:

  • Sampling of water, waste water and Cryptosporidium filters from locations throughout Northern Ireland
  • Subsequent transportation of the samples to a specified NI Water laboratory (Gelvin Grange, Altnagelvin, Co. Londonderry or Westland House, Old Westland Road, Belfast) for analysis.

 

Current estimated contract dates are 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029 with possible further extension options to 30 June 2033.

Deadline to submit enquiries about the tender is 12:00pm on 30 July 2025 and deadline for requests to participate is 12:00pm on 8 August 2025.
