Southern Water has launched a market engagement exercise with a Request for Information from interested suppliers ahead of tendering an AMP8 contract for business management consultancy services.
Southern Water are seeking to establish a framework panel with suppliers who have the expertise to support the company's ambitions.
The preliminary market engagement notice says the Request for Information engagement will be used to support the sourcing strategy and long-term management of the framework.
All queries relating to the Request for Information engagement must be submitted via Southern Water's e-Sourcing portal - the RFI is open to all parties.
The utility says it is going to market to gather information and insights regarding business and management consultancy services including:
- Economic and regulatory advice, operational planning, operational productivity, long term delivery strategy design ,PR29 business plan and price control development
- Change management; end-to-end management of defined activities, training, people process and system improvement, HR organisational design / operating model, lean processes portfolio, programme and change management, culture and behaviour change, business change for operational improvement, performance, KPI development, productivity
- Procurement consultancy services; procurement and commercial strategic advice across all of the functions core disciplines; Procurement AMP Long
- Financial consultancy services; mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, corporate financing, tax, financial management, cash management, strategies, finance processes, investments, fund management, risk management, costing reviews, internal audit, general accounting, finance legal advice
Current estimated dates for the upcoming contract are a start date of 2 March 2026 to 3 March 2031.
The engagement deadline is 4pm on Friday 7 March 2025. Southern Water is highlighting that vthis is not a call for competition. The purpose of this engagement is to obtain informative data on the market environment in the area of business management consultancy and relating services.
