Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with an AMP8 contract for sludge handling & dewatering equipment and operational support with an estimated potential total value of £15.1 million.
The water company is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of the supply of plant equipment and of skilled operators of various plant and dewatering equipment e.g. telehandlers and fixed and mobile dewatering equipment e.g. centrifuges used in water processing operations.
The contract is being tendered in two separate Lots:
Lot 1 - Plant equipment - 20 telehandlers with further demand for tractors, trailers and other site vehicles (£4.5 million)
Lot 2 -Equipment operators & Dewatering equipment - The services include the supply of of skilled operators for various plant equipment e.g. telehandlers and fixed and mobile dewatering equipment e.g. centrifuges used in water processing operations. In addition to the supply of labour, dewatering equipment may be required on an ad hoc basis. (£10,600,000)
Initial contract term for both Lots will be for 36 months – Yorkshire Water is reserving the option to extend further for 24 months and based on satisfactory performance of the contract by the service providers.
The estimated value for each Lot is based on the full potential contract term including renewal.
