Thames Water has awarded an AMP7 contract for commercial and financial advisory services to support it in the development of several Strategic Resource Water Options.

The procurement follows on from Ofwat’s Strategic Water Resource Options (SRO) Programme to provide at least 1500 Ml/d of water to areas of England facing a water deficit.
The SRO Programme includes multiple schemes which will be funded and assessed during AMP7 to determine the right portfolio of projects to be selected by Regional Plans ready for implementation in AMP8.
Thames Water went out to tender to find a supplier to support it in the development of several 'Strategic Resource Options', from Gate 3 (developed design, finalised feasibility, pre-planning, etc) through to construction.
Multi-disciplinary firm KPMG LLP London has been awarded the contract which will run for an initial period of 3 years. Estimated contract value when Thames Water went out to tender was £3 million.
