NI Water has issued a Request For Information seeking supply chain input on renewable energy supply to various NI Water sites via a Sleeved Power Purchase Agreement.

The water company has issued the RFI as a general market enquiry to identify and engage with renewable energy suppliers and investigate the potential of renewable electricity supply to NI Water assets in various areas via a Sleeved Power Purchase Agreement.
NI Water is seeking the information to assess the interest, capability and commercial viability of procuring, electricity from local renewable energy sources for consumption at some of its highest energy using sites via via a sleeved contract arrangement.
A sleeved PPA is a contract between a power producer and an off-taker who agree on a fixed price for a specified longer period. The sleeved PPA requires a utility company to be appointed as the intermediary handling energy transfer between the two parties.
