Scotland Excel, the central purchasing body for 32 local authorities in Scotland and other public sector organisations, has awarded a framework contract for civil engineering and technical consultancy services worth an estimated £72.5 million.

Other organisations who also will be able to use framework via Scotland Excel include higher education bodies, the Scottish Prison Service, Scottish National Health Service Authorities and Trusts, Transport Scotland and Scottish Government.
The above is subject to each contracting authority entering into and maintaining a membership agreement or other access agreement with Scotland Excel.
Services to be provided under the framework which covers engineering and technical consultancy services, primarily relate to civil engineering and other associated disciplines including:
- environmental engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- land surveying engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- drainage and flooding engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- geoenvironmental and geotechnical engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- coastal and maritime structures engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- master planning relating to engineering and technical related consultancy services;
- project and commercial management relating to engineering and technical related consultancy services.
The contract was tendered in 9 separate Lots – a number of the successful suppliers have won places on multiple lots, including:
