United Utilities has gone out to tender with an AMP7 framework contract for data loggers worth an estimated £10.5 million.

United Utilities wants to establish a framework that will allow it to replace, install, receive data from, and maintain its current asset base of flow and pressure loggers.
The remote data loggers are used to monitor the pressure and flow parameters of United Utilities water distribution network and to support the water company’s installation programme of loggers throughout the North West Region. United Utilities is currently an estate of approximately 4291 flow and 3840 pressure loggers.
The scope of the current agreement covers:
- Supply of Flow & Pressure Loggers
- Installation
- Proactive and Reactive maintenance, repair
- Provision of SIM and airtime
- Provision of an externally hosted portal to securely manage all UU data.
The new framework is being tendered in four separate Lots:
- Lot 1 - Supply of Telemetry Data Loggers (Flow, Pressure, Level & spares) & Data Service Provision (£7.8m)
- Lot 2 - Installation of Flow, Pressure level (£230,000)
- Lot 3 - Maintenance , Support, Repair, Replacement of Flow, Pressure & Level (Reactive & Proactive) (£1.7m)
- Lot 4 - Supply of Transient Data Loggers & Data Service Provision (£500,000)
Framework term, including potential contract extensions, is eight years.
