Northern Ireland Water has awarded a contract for the supply, replacement and regeneration of Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) worth up to an estimated £3 million total.
The contract covers supply, removal, regeneration and replacement of GAC for NI Water and NI Water Alpha sites.
Total estimated value of the contract when it went out to tender was £3 million.
The lowest bid offer the water company received was £2 .182 million.
Three companies were in the bidding for the contract – NI Water has awarded the work to Wigan-based firm Carbon Link Ltd.
