Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for prefabricated buildings buildings worth an estimated £12 million.

The water is looking to put a framework agreement in place for the provision of design, manufacturing, fabrication and assembly of non-security rated kiosks and enclosures across Scotland.
The contract is being tendered in 3 separate Lots:
Lot 1: Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP)
Kiosks and enclosures manufactured from GRP with a minimum design life of 20 years.
Lot 2: Hot Dipped Galvanised Mild Steel (GMS) or Stainless Steel (SS)
Kiosks and enclosures manufactured from GMS or SS with a minimum design life of 40 years.
Lot 3: Alternative Materials
Kiosks and enclosures manufactured from materials other than GRP, GMS and SS will be considered if they can be demonstrated to meet the required robustness and suitability. To be considered, kiosks and enclosures must have a minimum design life of 20 years.
Initial contract term is 3 years with 3 further annual extension options.
