Southern Water has gone out tender with an AMP7 leak detection and water efficiency contract worth an estimated £31.5 million in total.

The water company is looking to appoint suppliers to support its AMP 7 objectives of reducing water per capita to 120 litres per day by 2025 and leak reduction of 15 %.
Scope of the contract includes supporting Southern Water's leak detection investigations in the mains network and customer sites, together with helping customers with water efficiency guidance and products to save water in the home.
The contract is being tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1 - Leak Detection (£26m)
- Lot 2 - Water Efficiency (£5.5m)
The initial contract term is 4 years with extensions options for a further 4 years.
