The Environment Agency has awarded a contract for water environment education and training services worth an estimated £9 million.
The Environment Agency has both chaired and led the creation of the new Water environment worker (WEW) trailblazer apprenticeship.
The contract is covers the management, coordination and the delivery of the Standard to new recruits on the Agency’s area operations field teams and to some existing employees who may be eligible.
Somerset-based Bridgwater and Taunton College has won the contract – one of two organisations who bid for the work.
