Central Bedfordshire Council has gone out to tender with a regeneration and business consultancy framework contract, including a Lot for the provision of land drainage and specialist design/checking support, worth an estimated £40 million in total.
The drainage Lot covers the provision of specialist flood risk management advice to support the delivery of the Council’s role as a Lead Local Flood Authority.
The framework is intended for use by contracting authorities throughout the UK, including regional and local authorities and other public bodies.
The Council’s regeneration and business directorate, which currently manages consultancy and professional services, is seeking to learn from best practice and commission technical expertise to support an ambitious agenda in Central Bedfordshire via the Framework. The proposed framework consists of the following six Lots:
- Lot 1: Economic Development/Regeneration/Place Delivery;
- Lot 2: Housing and Commercial Financial Modelling;
- Lot 3: Specialist Planning Advice;
- Lot 4: Planning and Development Management;
- Lot 5: Business engagement, Events Management and Promotion;
- Lot 6: Land Drainage and Specialist Design/Checking Support.
The Council is looking to appoint up to 100 suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for four years.
