Severn Trent Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the supply of electricity to Severn Trent Water and Hafren Dyfrdwy Cyfyngedig worth an estimated £900 million.
Between both companies there is a combined annual consumption of approximately 700 GWhs across 6650 supplies. Only suppliers holding the relevant Ofgem supply licenses will be eligible for receipt of the tender documentation
The fully flexible supply contract is being tendered in lots - participants must apply for each lot separately as follows:
- Lot 1 for Severn Trent Water’s electricity import half-hourly portfolio covers 900 sites and annual consumption of 620 GWh - £800 million
- Lot 2 is for Hafren Dyfrdwy’s consumption of around 25 GWh and covers electricity import half-hourly portfolio for 41 sites/42 half-hourly meters - £29.35 million
- Lot 3 Severn Trent Water electricity import non half-hourly - £70 million
- Lot 4 Hafren Dyfrdwy electricity import non half-hourly - £650,000
The framework agreement, which covers the whole of AMP7, will start on 1st April 2020 and end on 31st March 2025, includes extension options.
