Environment Agency tenders software system upgrade contract

The Environment Agency has gone out to tender with a contract to upgrade its existing Asset Information Management System (AIMS).

The system, which comprises several functional components, has to date been developed primarily to fulfil the business needs in Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM).

The Agency’s primary goal of the AIMS Upgrade project is to replace the current asset maintenance planning elements - AIMS:Planning and the EAM Works App, with the wider goal of implementing a new overall Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution.

This would see rationalisation of AIMS:Inventory, and other components such as CMMS and Mobile applications to resolve what the EA describes as “the convoluted integration currently in place.”

The procurement for the contract, which will run for 5 years, is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 7th December 2018 – click here to access the tender documentation.
