Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for water and wastewater networks services worth an estimated £200 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to four suppliers to the framework contract, which is being tendered in four Lots:
Lot 1: Water and wastewater networks improvement, repair and maintenance (including plant hire and large dia. meter installation and meter maintenance) on a province wide basis -£140 million
Lot 2: Wastewater networks cleaning and maintenance (including associated plant hire) on a province wide basis - £50 million
Lot 3: Desludging of septic tanks on a province wide basis - £9 million
Lot 4: Metering installation and data surveying on a province wide basis - £1 million
The contract will replace a number of existing NI Water contracts.
The initial contract period for all four Lots will run for 4 years with the option to extend by up to 3 years.
