The Environment Agency has gone out to tender with an engineering services contract for its Marine and Coastal Works Framework (MCF) worth an estimated £220 million.

The Agency is seeking suppliers to provide or arrange for the provision of services to deliver a programme of capital investment and improvement works for marine and coastal flood risk management defence assets - fixed and active.
The contract is being tendered in two separate Lots:
Lot 1: Major Marine and Coastal works - project values £5m to £50m
Lot 2: General Marine and Coastal works - project values under under £5m
Both Lots will have national coverage.
Scope of the contract includes:
- asset replacement, refurbishment, and capital maintenance works
- design and consultancy services
- site investigation
- engineering surveys and other investigations
- environmental and engineering design of works
- environmental assessment
- computational modelling
- incident management support
- spend forecasting
- supply chain management
- commercial management
- construction engineering works
The Agency is looking to appoint up to 13 suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for four years.
