Scottish Water tenders £28m motor vehicles hire contract

Scottish Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the hire of cars and commercial vehicles worth an estimated £28 million.

The water company is looking for suppliers capable of supplying hire cars, vans and commercial vehicles to support Scottish Water and its supply chain partners. This includes delivery and collection and ensuring vehicles are chapter 8 compliant.

Estimated total value of the contract, which is being tendered in Lots, is £28 million.

Lot 1: Hire of Cars

Lot 2: Hire of Light Commercial Vehicles

Lot 3: Hire of 4x4s

Lot 4: Hire of Jet Vans

Lot 5: Hire of HGVs

Scottish Water is looking to appoint up to eight suppliers to the framework agreement, which will run for an initial period of two years with 3 further two year extension options.

Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 5th July, followed an estimated date of 24th August for the dispatch of invitations to tender or to participate to selected candidates.
