NI Water has gone out to tender with an integrated partnerships framework contract for construction and civil engineering work worth an estimated £1.6 billion.
The contract is being tendered in the following Lots:
- Lot 1 Water and sewerage infrastructure minor works (£240 million)
- Lot 2 Water and sewerage non infrastructure minor works (£240 million)
- Lot 3 Water and Sewerage Infrastructure and Non Infrastructure Major Works (£1.2 billion)
The water company is looking to appoint up to 10 suppliers to each framework, which will run for an initial four year term.
The contract covers a maximum of eight years in total – with further extension options available for a second term of 2 years and third and fourth terms of 1 year each respectively.
