Thames Water has gone out to tender with a framework contract for the administration of its Customer Assistance Fund and Trust Fund for vulnerable customers worth an estimated £4.4 million-plus.
The framework agreement contract is being tendered in two Lots:
Lot one covers the administration of the Customer Assistance Fund which assesses eligibility for customer debt reduction and social tariffs. This will include the assessment of customers’ arrears and making recommendations to potentially reduce or clear the arrears.
Lot two covers the administration of the Customer Assistance Fund, together with the administration of the Trust Fund. The Trust Fund is an independent charity which provides further support to extremely vulnerable customers and debt organisations.
Trust Fund administration covers the administration of the board of trustees, assessment of both organisational applications and individual vulnerable customer applications and proposals for appropriate recommendations, which may include the supply and delivery of white goods.
The framework agreement will run for an initial three years with the option to extend annually to a maximum of eight years.
Thames is reserving the right to award contracts for the Lots on either a single or combined basis.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 4th July 2017 – click here to access the tender documentation.
