NI Water tenders £7.5m disposal services contract

Northern Ireland Water has gone out to tender with a contract for the disposal of water treatment works residuals worth an estimated £7.5 million.

NI Water currently produces approximately 18 000 tonnes per year of water treatment works (WTWs) residuals. The contract covers the collection, transportation and final disposal of Residuals from NI Water WTWs.

The water company is reserving the right to amend the specification or re-negotiate price during the contract period to cater for innovation or developments in the service requirement e.g. innovative disposal solutions of residuals.

Estimated total value of the contract is £7.5 million.

The initial contract period is for  2 years with a further 3 annual extension options.
