LGSS, one of the largest public sector shared services ventures of its kind in the UK, has gone out to tender with a framework contract for legionella and water hygiene services potentially worth upto £5 million.
LGSS, which is wholly owned by Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire County Councils and Milton Keynes Council, is looking to appoint up to 3 providers to the framework, which will be for an initial period of 3 years with option to extend for a further year.
The successful suppliers will be required to provide water hygiene risk assessments and planned control measure, including chlorination and tank cleans, quarterly de-scales and bacterial monitoring and monthly temperature monitoring.
Potential places of work are within but not limited to the geographical boundaries of East Anglia, East Midlands, South East England, Boroughs of London and members of CBC.
Other bodies accessing the framework are expected to have similar requirements or to at least highlight any differences when accessing the framework.
The anticipated estimated spend could be up to £5 million depending on the number of bodies accessing the framework agreement.
The framework is open to all of LGSS’ partners and other organisations, together with new LGSS customers seeking to utilize LGSS frameworks on an independent third party basis.
