Welsh Water tenders £11.8m water network field services contract

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water has gone out to tender with a contract for water network field services worth £11.8 million.

The utility is looking to appoint up to four suppliers to the framework agreement ,  which will run for five years – an initial three years followed by two further 12 month extension options.  Estimated total value of the contract is £11.8 million.

Services to be provided under the contract, which will start in February 2017, include:

Lot 1: Leakage optimisation,

Lot 2: Survey and design,

Lot 3: Data provision,

Lot 4: Water meter verification.

Welsh Water said there is also likely to be additional related requirements over the duration of the contract which framework suppliers be eligible to compete.
