Yorkshire Water has gone out to tender with a contract for Company Car Fleet Support Terms worth an estimated £24 million.
The water company is looking to appoint up to 30 suppliers to the framework agreement which will run for 8 years.
Yorkshire Water wants to have Fleet Support Terms in place that offers a user chooser option for all company car drivers C700.
Yorkshire Water said there will be a robust specification to ensure only manufacturers that offer safe and reliable cars with low emissions are selected. The selection and qualification stages, that will be combined, will ensure manufacturers:
- Only have cars on the list with a NCAP 5 Star rating;
- Only have cars on the list with a maximum CO2 of 130;
- Offer cars with free of charge metallic paint;
- Offer free of charge mats front and rear;
- Do not offer 2 seaters or convertibles;
- Understand there is no volume commitment;
- Include dealer discount in the overall discount structure;
- Offer a rolling 12 month discount terms with quarterly reviews where the discounts can be amended to ensure manufacturers minimise the lease cost to colleagues;
- Offer free breakdown cover and a minimum 3 year warranty.
