United Utilities has awarded a contract for the maintenance and repair of centrifuge equipment to three suppliers.
The water company was looking for the provision of a full range of maintenance and repair services of its mobile and fixed centrifuge equipment fleet across all sites in the United Kingdom.
- Services under the contract include:
- Condition Based Inspection of equipment
- Development of maintenance schedules
- 24 hour breakdown cover
- Option for maintenance packages including comprehensive and routine
- Reinstatement and re-commissioning of the equipment
The successful suppliers were also required to provide and maintain a list of their personnel who will be responsible for performing the onsite services on a regular basis to the company in writing.
The suppliers may also have to perform a physical condition based inspection of the equipment to ascertain the operational performance and condition of the equipment, followed by a condition report including:
- Location, model number and modifications
- Condition of the equipment
- Operating conditions
- Identification of routine and critical spare parts by original component manufacturer
- Supporting photographs
- Modifications to improve performance
Alfa Laval Limited, Brettex site Services and Mobile & Separation Equipment Limited are the successful suppliers out of six companies who were in the bidding for the work. No information has been provided about overall contract value.
