NI Water has extended the deadline for suppliers interested in a £multi-million tender for leak detection services by a further two weeks.
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate was originally 17th November – this has now been put back to 1st December.
The overall value of the contract, which is in two Lots, has also seen a significant increase since the initial tender publication on 24th October which included an estimated overall value of £9 million. An amendment to the tender on 30th October has effectively seen the contract double in value to £18 million.
Lot 1 Leakage Detection Services, which originally set the quantity or scope at £1 million and £3 million respectively has now been increased to £6 million and £18 million, while Lot 2 Leakage Detection Support has been increased from £50,000 and £100,000 to £300,000 and £600,000 respectively.
The update also clarifies the contract length as consisting of an initial 3 year contract period with the option to extend for a further total of 3 years (1 year + 1 year + 1 year).
