London's water leaks hit all-time low

Following the replacement of 1,400 miles of worn-out Victorian pipes in London, leakage is now at the lowest level in Thames Water’s history, at 600m litres per day across its 20,000-mile network of mains.

Troubled consultancy Mouchel has sold yet another business - engineering, management and development consultancy Mott MacDonald has announced that it has acquired Mouchel Energy Ltd.

Thames Water came under fire last week at a stormy meeting to discuss the location of the giant sewer construction site in Fulham.

Bristol Water is starting work on the first section of the Harry Stoke to Clifton part of the £22 million Bristol Resilience Scheme which is due for completion in the spring of 2013.

South West Water launches new business services

Source4bus_rgbSouth West Water has this week launched a new range of tailored water, sewerage and environmental services for the region's business community.

Northumbrian Water is due to start work next month on improvements to a Durham sewage treatment works.

AECOM is expanding its water business in Romania following a succession of multi-million-euro wins.

United Utilities will shortly start work on a £9 million improvement scheme in Grane Valley in Rossendale.

Canada-based Capstone Infrastructure Corporation has today announced that it has acquired a 70% interest in Bristol Water from SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT through its subsidiary, AGBAR, for approximately $215 million Canadian dollars.

Support services company May Gurney, provider of integrated maintenance and enhancement services to clients in the public and regulated markets, has reported strong trading in the first half of the year with the publication today of its trading update for the six months ended 30 September 2011.
