Northumbrian Water Group confirm takeover bid

Northumbrian Water Group Plc has issued a statement confirming that it has received a possible offer from Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited.

The Board of Northumbrian Water said that it has now received a non-binding indicative proposal from Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited regarding a possible cash offer for the Company.

The statement said there could be no certainty that an offer will be made and a further announcement will be made when appropriate.
