MOSL publishes Annual Report and Financial Statements for 2024/25

Business retail market operator MOSL has published its Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ending 31 March 2025.

MOSL ANNUAL REPORT 2024-25

MOSL’s enhanced Annual Report aims to provide transparency and visibility of MOSL’s performance and delivery across the financial year. It also outlines MOSL’s work as a responsible business, including audit and compliance with the market codes, and broader sustainability activities with stakeholder and community partners.

Headline messages set out in the report include:

  • achieved 20 out of 20 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relating to our core services, demonstrating MOSL’S focus on performing as market operator
  • delivered 90% of improvement programme milestones, with all remaining milestones due to be delivered in 2025/26
  • spent 3.1% less than approved budget, excluding changes in MPF phasing, demonstrating commitment to cost-efficiency
  • finished the year with one open non-compliance, rated as low risk. ThE non-compliance relates to retention of data in CMOS with a code change already in progress (CPW157 – Data Retention Beyond Seven Years)
  • embedded sustainability reporting into a two-year cycle, notable achievements include the introduction of Anew Environmental Policy

Finance Director, Steve Formoy commented:

“Our annual report provides us with an opportunity to reflect and share what we have delivered over the course of each year. It provides a useful track record of our performance and our priorities, not only in terms of our business plan commitments but our commitments to our people, our community and the market we operate. Hitting our milestones is just part of the story. This report seeks to demonstrate how we engage, seek input and listen to trading parties and other stakeholders through our multi-year programmes of work and the services we provide.”

Following approval from the Board, members will be asked to formally adopt the Annual Report and Financial Statements at a General Meeting being held at the end of July. Notice of the General Meeting will be sent to members at least 14 days in advance.
