Northumbrian Water is inviting customers to have their say on its future plans for 2025-30 as part of a national conversation run in partnership with water industry regulator Ofwat.
Residents and stakeholders from across the water company’s operating areas will have an opportunity to hear about the company’s future plans and have the opportunity to ask questions and give views.
The ‘Your Water, Your Say’ session, which will be run by an independent facilitator, will give information about Northumbrian Water’s detailed plans for 2025-30. Topics covered will include the company’s environmental activity, customer service priorities and how their plans will impact on water bills.
The event will be held online on Friday 12 May 2023 from 1.00pm until 2.30pm.
Louise Hunter, Director of Corporate Affairs at Northumbrian Water, said:
"We carry out a lot of different customer engagement opportunities across the course of the year, and this is another opportunity for the people in our communities to have their say.
“It’s important for us to get views from a diverse group of customers, whether that be on water bills, the environment, or other important topics that they may feel strongly about.
“Most importantly, we want our customers to feel heard, so we are here to listen and take input on our operations going forward.”
Customers who have a question but are unable to attend the event can submit questions in advance to the consumer body CCW, who will raise it on their behalf. CCW can also ask questions for people attending the session but who would prefer the consumer body to put the question to the company on their behalf.
Questions will not be shared with the company in advance of the meeting.
