Scottish Water is inviting people to attend its Annual Consultative Meeting (ACM) in Edinburgh next week on Tuesday 30 August - the water company’s first in-person ACM in three years due to Covid.

Scottish Water Chief Executive, Douglas Millican, who will be the key speaker at the event, said:

“We welcome the opportunity to update customers on our achievements – while also highlighting the challenges we face and how we plan to tackle them. We want our customers to be part of our journey and urge anyone with an interest to come along or ask a question.”

“Water is vital to all our lives every day and we put our 2.6 million customers at the heart of all we do. We want to work even closer with our customers and communities to hear their views on the water and waste water networks in their area and help to determine our priorities for future investment.“

The publicly owned organisation maintains more than 63,000 miles of water and sewer pipes and employs more than 4,000 staff countrywide.

In 2021/22 Scottish Water invested a record £799 million in its assets and services delivering benefits to the public, environment and economy. The company also reduced its energy use by 7GWh and began its transformation programme with projects to improve service delivery, cost and carbon efficiency, and customer experience.

For those that cannot attend in person, there will be the opportunity to join virtually or watch a recording later through the water company’s website.

Event Details: Tuesday 30 August between 17:15 to 18:45 at Novotel Edinburgh Park, 15 Lochside Ave, Edinburgh, EH12 9DJ
