Hidrostal (GB) Ltd, the UK holding company for Swiss pump manufacturer Hidrostal, has announced the acquisition of four service centre locations of the electrical & mechanical engineering services company, Parsons Peebles Service Ltd, a subsidiary of Parsons Peebles Group Ltd.
The newly acquired company will trade as Avonmouth Engineering Services Ltd and will provide Hidrostal with a custom built 70,000 square foot workshop in Avonmouth, which will be the largest, single workshop facility for electrical and mechanical repairs in the UK.
The transaction was completed working with Administrators BDO as part of a sequence of deals that saw a substantial number of jobs secured.

Parson Peebles are a rapid response, full scope, supplier of electromechanical products and services across a wide range of industries including power, oil & gas, renewables, water, mining & minerals, and general industrial sectors.
Hidrostal (GB) incorporates Bedford Pumps Ltd & Hidrostal Ltd who jointly offer a complementary range of pumping solutions from 5 to 15,000 litres per second.
From standard off the shelf products to complex bespoke design solutions, their combined specialist engineering knowledge ensures that any pumping need within the water, wastewater, flood control and industrial markets, can be fulfilled.
Avonmouth Engineering Services will house electrical, machining and fabrication workshops with a 30 tonne inhouse lifting capacity and modern equipment designed to provide high quality round the clock service for both repair and new equipment manufacturing.
The Parsons Peebles Group has evolved from manufacturing bespoke high voltage motors to becoming a specialised electromechanical solutions provider offering technology and services for new markets. The acquisition positions Hidrostal as Engineered Solutions Providers who can offer customers, suppliers and framework partners an even more comprehensive range of services across a broader range of sectors.
