Martin Baggs appointed CEO of Thames Water

Martin Baggs has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Thames Water. Mr. Baggs has served the company as Interim Chief Executive Officer since December 2009, following the resignation of David Owen.

Sir Peter Mason, Chairman of Kemble Water, said:

"I have every confidence that Martin is the best person to continue to lead the company; making further improvements to operational performance and the service we provide to our customers."

Mr. Baggs said:

"Since being acquired by the Kemble consortium in 2006, there has been a remarkable turnaround in operational and financial performance at Thames Water."We're now providing a better service than ever to our customers. But there is a lot more that we need to do, particularly in terms of efficient delivery. I'm determined to make further improvements, while also delivering our biggest ever investment programme over the next five years."
