Anglian Water is taking part in an international water innovation conference and brokerage event - Water Connect 2016 will take place in at the Future Business Centre, Peterborough in November.
Main organiser of the event is Enterprise Europe Network, which is led by Innovate UK, the UK Government’s innovation agency.
Water Connect 2016 is a one day conference and matchmaking event targeted at organisations interested in developing innovative solutions. The conference incorporates Anglian Water’s Innovation Shop Window, central to the water company’s approach to innovation.
The event offers the opportunity for current and prospective suppliers to showcase the best they have to offer and to demonstrate the value their company can bring to the Shop Window.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet experts at Anglian Water to discuss their innovative solution, meet like-minded businesses to form collaborations and to learn more about the Shop Window and its aspirational goals which are:
- Zero pollutions and flooding
- Build a circular economy
- Zero leakage and no bursts
- Energy neutral
- 100% compliant and chemical free drinking water
- 100% customer satisfaction
- 80 litres per head per day
The event will also include an afternoon matchmaking event with pre-arranged meetings which last 15 minutes. Participants will be able to request meetings with other event delegates (including Anglian Water specialists) via the website.
The event will allow organisations, universities and researchers that are interested in creating innovative solutions that can help with the Shop Window aspirational goals to find collaboration partners and find out more about Anglian Water’s business challenges.
Anglian Water speakers include Matt Kirk, Shop Window Programme Manager, Paul Gibbs, Director of Water Recycling and the water company’s Head of Innovation Steve Kaye, together with Nilam Patel, Network Coordinator at the Water Innovation Network and Chris Woodward, Enterprise Europe Network.
