Ofwat has published a new paper setting out how it has used collaborative customer research to set Outcome Delivery Incentive (ODI) rates for the 2024 price review (PR24) in which the regulator acknowledges the limitations of the data collection process.
Ofwat has proposed that water companies should as a minimum test their proposed AMP8 business plan and a least cost version for the upcoming 2024 Price Review to give customers a meaningful choice between different service and bill levels.
New research suggests that while two thirds of people are happy with the water services they receive, only around a third of customers would trust their water company to fix a problem quickly. In addition, only around a quarter think companies act in the interests of people and the environment.
